The information here is for students with a hearing impairment who have been asked to turn on live captions in Microsoft Teams.
In the Teams Meeting, please go to More > Language and Speech > Show live captions
Once you have turned on live captions, you can adjust any settings in terms of font size/colour yourself using the settings cog that appears in the captions section.
Please practice turning live captions on before your interviews.

As with all live captions, the software may not transcribe everything 100% accurately, so please also ask the interviewers to type out any parts that you don't understand. As well as practicing turning the live captions on, we advise familiarising yourself with doing a Teams meeting with the live captions on before the interviews so that you can get used to using them.
