Professor Duncan Haldane (m.1970) has been elected as a Foreign Associate of the prestigious in the US.
He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics (jointly) in 2016, and has now been awarded this rare honour by the National Academy of Sciences.
Former Master, has also received this distinction, being elected to the National Academy in 1986.
